Making Christmas ornaments brings Holiday Joy
By Samantha Tate-Anderson
The Holiday season is here and we've been slowly decorating our house and getting festive! With a toddler running around, I've been trying to have him be as much a part of the process as possible. This year we decided to add a few Salt-Dough Ornaments to the tree.
It's a simple process that the kids fully enjoy being apart of! Once they are dry, a few drops of essential oils can be added to each ornament. We used doTERRA's Holiday Joy and the house smells just like Christmas!
ย
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees and then mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
- Once all ingredients are mixed together and the dough has formed a ball, flour your surface and roll dough out into a ยผ inch thickness.
- Cut the ornaments out with holiday cookie cutters and using a straw, add a hole in the top so you can string them once baked or dry.
- Bake for 2-3 hours or until completely dried. If you would like, you can air dry for a day or two to ensure they keep their whiteness.
- Once dry and strung, add a couple drops of doTERRA Holiday Joy for a lovely scent.
